Marlene K. Ort, 76 of Fremont, passed away on Tuesday morning, March 12, 2024 at her home. Marlene was a 1965 graduate of Coldwater High school. She enjoyed camping, boating, fishing and especially loved shopping and bird watching. She had attended the Zion Missionary Church with her family.
Marlene was born on March 21, 1947 in Coldwater, MI a daughter of the late Amos S. and Ethel M. (Harbaugh) English.
She was united in marriage to Larry G. Ort on August 3, 1974. He preceded her in death on October 9, 2014.
Survivors include a son: Todd (Kim) Simons of Fremont; three daughters: Lisa Hough of Hudson, Kendra Diehl of Fremont and Michelle Simons of Coldwater, MI; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; a brother: Irving English and sister: Shirley Alleshouse.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Larry Ort and two brothers: Olen English and Rolland English.
Visitation will take place on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Beams Funeral Home, 200 Toledo St., Fremont, Indiana.
Funeral Services will also take place on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Jon Bruney officiating.
Interment will take place in the West Jamestown Cemetery in Fremont.
