Paul Edward Miller

Paul was born in Ft Wayne, Indiana, on October 25, 1940, the son of Elmer and Pauline (Lindenmeyer) Miller, they preceded him in death.

He graduated from Ft. Wayne Central High School. He spent his lifetime in the grocery business, retiring as store manager at the Community Discount store in Newville, Indiana, and was also self-employed. His hobbies included car clubs, and being a Chicago Cubs fan. He was an avid fisherman, and also played fast pitch softball, and loved family gatherings at the lake, and Canada.

He married Jean Marie (Lash) in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, on April 29, 1961, she preceded him in death on September 23, 1995. He later married Deb (Birchfield) Melchi on May 18, 2013, in Fremont, Indiana, and she survives.

Survivors include his wife, Deb (Melchi) Miller of Fremont, Indiana, his special daughter, Karen Birchfield, and special son, Douglas Miller of Fremont, Indiana, and children, Sheryl (David) Cox of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Roger Miller (Mary Fisher) of Kendallville, Indiana, John (Karen) Miller of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Barbara (Bradley) Knox of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, step-children, Thomas (Lori) Melchi, Jr. of Pleasant Lake, Indiana, Jennie Melchi of Buford, Georgia, and William Melchi (Brittany Moreno) of Pleasant Lake, Indiana, nineteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Jean Johnson of Florida, and two brothers, Donald (Ann) Miller of Warsaw, Indiana, and Gaylord (Shirley) Miller of Columbia City, Indiana.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, RaShonda Miller, and five brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be at 11 am Friday, November 4, 2016 at Beams Funeral Home, with Pastor Marilee Skinner officiating.

Burial will be at Jamestown Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana.

Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society or Cleveland Hope Lodge.
