Raymond H Strong

Ray was born on April 28, 1937 in Battle Creek, Michigan, the son of Hershel Raymond Strong, Sr., and Margaret (Shiery) Strong, they preceded him in death.

He graduated from Lakeview High School, Battle Creek, Michigan.

He retired after 27 years as a wire cutter for EMF in Angola, Indiana, and also worked at the Battle Creek Post Office, and was a farmer. He loved his family, and he enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, sports, and his dogs.

Ray married Laura L. Krontz on July 10, 1958 in Marshall, Michigan.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Strong of Fremont, Indiana, his children, Richard (Dawn) Baad of Mattawan, Michigan, Steven (Angel) Strong of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Douglas (Dawn) Strong of Rapid City, Michigan, Eric Strong of Fremont, Indiana, Pamela (Lee) Moeller of San Antonio, Texas, and Sarah (Tim) Hawkins of Waterloo, Indiana, 18 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Robert (June) Strong of Marshall, Michigan.

He was also preceded in death by two sons, Michael Ray Strong, and Daniel Carl Strong, three sisters, Barbara McDonald, Donna Anderson, and Betty Kirschnick.

Private family services were held on Thursday June 8, 2017 at Beams Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Knauss Cemetery, Kinderhook Township, Branch County, Michigan.
