Robert Lee Voelzke

He was born on December 17, 1928 in Fremont, Ohio, the son of Edwin and Lorena (Risch) Voelzke.

He attended Fremont Ross High School. He was a longtime trucker, and worked for Matlock Trucking, and later drove a distribution route for the former Eckrich Foods Company, which is now Con Ag Foods, in Quincy, Michigan. He also worked in Fremont, Indiana for Gay’s Party Store.

Robert married Louise F. Gillmor on February 11, 1949, in Fremont, Ohio, she preceded him in death on March 7, 2016.

Survivors include his children, Patricia (Richard) Risk, and Pamela (Christopher) Book, both of Fremont, Indiana, John (Kathy) Voelzke of Attica, Ohio, James (Linda) Voelzke of Fremont, Ohio, and Joseph Voelzke of Gibsonburg, Ohio, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, 18 step-great-grandchildren, 6 step-great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Janet (Lawrence) Kiem of Old Fort, Ohio, and Virginia (Joseph) Bender of Redlands, California, and a brother, David (Linda) Voelzke of Fremont, Ohio.

H was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Lorena Voelzke, and two sisters, Marlyn Binkley, and Norma Stiger.

Graveside Services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, Ohio.
