Stephen Russell Mesta

He wa born on January 11, 1983 in Bradenton, Florida.

Steve attended Angola High School.

He had a love of riding motorcycles, kayaking, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Fremont American Legion Cassel Post # 257 Legion Riders and was a Son of the American Legion.

Survivors include his children, Devin Mesta of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Alizay Mesta of Jackson, Michigan, Royce Mesta of Battle Creek, Michigan and Madden Mesta of Battle Creek, his mother, Kathy (John) Stienbarger of Fremont, Indiana, sisters, Jennifer Mesta (Rafa Torres) of Angola, Indiana and Angela Mesta (Peter Rinard) of Pleasant Lake, Indiana, his girlfriend, Christina Lawson and her son, Adam of Fremont, Indiana, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Mesta.

Visitation will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Following visitation the Legion Riders will pay tribute outside the funeral home with a "REV" with their bikes in his honor.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Friday, August 16, 2024 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Rev. George Foulk will officiate the service. A funeral procession to the cemetery will follow the services, anyone wishing to follow and ride along may participate in his last ride.

Burial will be at Pleasant Lake Cemetery, Pleasant Lake, Indiana.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be directed in care of Kathy Stienbarger for his children.
