He was born on July 9, 1940 in Batavia Township, Michigan to Richard Lewis and Grace (Adams) Clifford.
Steve married Lorraine Heath on July 1, 1967 in Tekonsha, Michigan.
He retired from Acorn Building Components, Quincy, Michigan.
Steve enjoyed lifting weights, mushroom hunting, walking in the woods, and following sprint car racing, and his son’s racing.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Clifford of Fremont, Indiana, son, Steve Clifford, Jr. (Kari Frye) of Fremont, Indiana, daughter, Theresa (Greg) Truley of Battle Creek, Michigan, 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Dora (John) Sabaitis of Coldwater, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Barbara Byrd, and Doris Rumble, and brothers, Richard Travelbee, Lewis Clifford, and Ralph Clifford.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Evangelist Scott Saltsman will officiate the service.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 pm until 2 pm Saturday at Beams Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Batavia Cemetery, Batavia Township, Michigan.
Memorial donations in his memory may be directed to the Steuben County Cancer Association or to Parkview Hospice.
