

Mrs. Spangler had a real love for children and was a teacher for more than 30 years. She had owned several preschools.
She retired as the executive director of the Steuben County, Indiana, Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Mrs. Spangler enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida.
She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends.
She was born October 9, 1942, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to W. Joseph and Geraldine (Findley) Vesey. They both preceded her in death. She married James Spangler on May 4, 1963, in Fort Wayne and he survives.
Also surviving are a son, James II and Janet Spangler of Zebulon, North Carolina; a daughter, Amy and Gregg Spegal of Fairland, Indiana; a brother, William and Susie Vesey of Fishers, Indiana; her granddaughters, Sarah, Olivia and Maren; and her stepgrandchildren, Megan and Cameron Spegal.
A memorial gathering will be announced at a later date.
A private family burial will take place May 15 at Ray-Covenanter Cemetery in Fremont.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested in her name to the American Red Cross or the American Cancer Society.
