Vicky was united in marriage to Daniel Mase on June 16, 1973. Together they shared years of love, family, and devotion. Daniel preceded her in death on April 21, 2005, a loss she bore with quiet strength and enduring love.
Vicky was also preceded in death by her beloved parents, Kenneth and Marcella (Jo) Wooster; her father-in-law Andrew Mase Sr.; her mother-in-law Kathryn Mase; her brother Harold Wooster; her brother- and sister-in-law David and Mary Mase; and her cherished daughter, Danyelle Laura Mase, whose memory remained forever close to her heart.
She is survived by her loving children, Matthew Mase and Melissa Mase, both of Bronson, Michigan. Her greatest joy was being “Nana” to her grandchildren: Taylor Hessler and his wife Elisa, Kaylee Hessler, Masen Hessler, Matthew Mase, and Alexis Friend, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Vicky is also survived by her sister Barbara Mase of Lagrange, Indiana; her brother and sister-in-law Kenneth (Rex) and Diane Wooster of Bronson, Michigan; her sister-in-law Joyce Shelburne and her husband Melvin of Orland, Indiana; her sister-in-law Barbara Alleshouse and her husband Larry of Penrose, Colorado; her brother-in-law Andrew Mase Jr. of Orland, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She shared an especially close and meaningful bond with her niece, Tracy Lynn Engle of Orland, Indiana.
Vicky lived a life defined by generosity, love, and unwavering strength. She poured herself into the lives of others, offering kindness freely and loving fiercely. Those who knew her were better for it. Her presence was steady, comforting, and powerful—something you could lean on, something you could trust.
She was a strong and determined woman, meeting life with courage and grace even when it did not seem fair. Through hardship and heartbreak, she chose love, carried hope, and never lost her capacity to care deeply for others. Her love was constant and enduring, felt in quiet moments and remembered always.
Vicky will be fiercely missed, yet her love will forever remain in the hearts of her family and all who were touched by her life.
A gathering to honor and remember Vicky will be held on Thursday, February 19, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Beam’s Funeral Home, located in Fremont, Indiana.
