

He was born on September 2, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of William B. and Rita (Kippert) Thompson.
Bill graduated from Bentley High School in Livonia, Michigan, in 1960, and from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan, in 1970.
He was a retired chemist for Voss Industries in Taylor, Michigan.
He lived most of his life in Taylor, Michigan, and retired to Lake Gage in Steuben County, Indiana.
He enjoyed traveling, driving and reading. He loved to play golf, and had a great sense of humor.
Survivors include his mother, Rita Thompson of Lake Gage, Angola, Indiana; many cousins including his favorite cousin, George (Angie) Srofe of Beavercreek, Ohio; a niece, Donna Lewandowski; and two nephews, Jeffrey Thompson and James Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his father, William B. Thompson; a sister, Margaret Nelson; and a brother, John ‘‘J.T.’’ Thompson.
Following Bill’s wishes there will be no services at this time.
