

Julia T. Zambrano, 89, of Fremont, reunited with her husband into eternal happiness on Friday, June 17, 2011. She was born April 5, 1922 in Encinal, TX, the daughter of Francisco and Louisa (Cipriano) Trevino. On April 15, 1950 she married Jesus C. “Jessie” Zambrano in Texas. Shortly after they moved to Fremont as migrant workers. Julia was a dedicated and supportive wife and mother. She and her husband were a team, always volunteering their time and encouraging others to volunteer for the greater good of themselves and the community. Mrs. Zambrano, will be remembered as the great woman behind the great man. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Surviving are her children: Mary (Bill) Gordon, Jose Francisco Zambrano, Mary Ann Zambrano, Mary Antoinette “Toni” Zambrano, Mary Caroline (Mike) Evans, Richard Trevino, Genaro Zambrano; grandchildren: Steven Perkins, Gary Perkins, Jr., Amelia Marie Warden, Andrew Joseph Zambrano; 4 great-grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her husband on December 12, 2010; siblings Elvira Zamora, Erasmo Trevino, Francisco Trevino, infant son, Jose Zambrano and great-granddaughter, Lila Perkins.
Memorial donations in her memory may be made to Stein Hospice. Funeral Services and burial will be private at her request. The family will receive guests beginning at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, June 24, 2011 at the Zambrano family residence on Tiffin Street.
