Lorena "Rena" M Boyle

Lorena “Rena” Maria Boyle, 94, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Hospice Brazos Valley in Bryan, Texas. Rena was born December 12, 1919 in Kensington, Ohio to John and Jennie (Santini) Bonardi. Rena married Roy E. Boyle in 1943 and he preceded her in death on August 5, 2005.

Rena was a member of the St. Brigid 55+ Club of Dublin, Ohio and bridge and book clubs. She enjoyed playing cards, reading and traveling (especially to Italy). She loved cooking Italian food and entertaining friends and family. Rena was a devout catholic with a special devotion to the Blessed Mother.

Rena is survived by her children, David (Anne) Boyle of College Station, TX, Barbara (John) Hegler of Columbus, OH, Phillip (Cindy) Boyle of Exeter, NH, and Peggy (Jerry) Standera of Penfield, NY; sisters, Vera Van Arsdale of Highland Park, IL and Vivian Kryder of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Edie Thompson, Danny Boyle, Andrew Skunza, Suzanne Skunza, Amanda Boyle, Jennifer Boyle, Shawn Boyle, David Boyle, Samantha DeLand, Stephanie Standera, Niki Standera, and Mitchell Standera and great-grandchildren, Riley Thompson and Jaxon DeLand. Along with her husband, Roy, Rena was preceded in death by her son, Stephen M. Boyle.

Friends will be received Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 4-7 P.M. at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral Home, 415 S. Arch Street, Fremont, Ohio (419-332-8288). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 14, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan Street, Fremont with Rev. Walter Oxley, of the Josephinum Pontifical College, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Rena was a generous person.
