Mr. Ted Jones

Theodore “Ted” C. Jones, 86, of Fremont died Friday evening at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. He was born August 3, 1925 in Fremont to Alva C and Florence G. Damon Jones. He was a 1944 Ross High School graduate. Ted was a butcher with Roser & Stahl Grocery for many years and later retired from Swint Reineck as a floor manager after 40 years of faithful service. Ted was a friendly, generous man who would do anything for anybody. He loved woodworking and made furniture, cabinetry, and many other items. The love of Ted’s life were his many dogs that he had had over the years.

Surviving are brother, Donn (Joyce) Jones of Fremont; sister, Valeria Patterson of Fremont; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, “Beau.” He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Milton Jones; half-brothers, Robert & Douglas Bolton.

Calling hours will be Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8PM at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Wednesday at the funeral home with Pas. William McConnell officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sandusky County Humane Society or Another Chance Sanctuary-Paw Patch Veterianarian c/o the funeral home.
