

Following graduation from Central Union High School, Al married his high school sweetheart, Hazel Cervelli, and had been married for 71 years.
Al served in the United States Army in Italy as military police and transportation driver. He worked a short time as a roofer and was a retired raisin farmer. He owned and operated ranches in the Kerman and Fresno area for over 50 years.
Both Al and his wife Hazel enjoyed selling grapes, raisins and vegetables from his garden at the farmers market in Morro Bay, CA.
His relaxation was fishing, playing his accordion and organ and entertaining at the annual "Bopps Fish Fry" at the couples honeymoon cottage in Morro Bay.
Al was past Grand Marshall of Biola Raisin Day, an active member and past commander of the Biola VFW Post 5845, member of the Biola Chamber, Farm Bureau, Bethany Lutheran Church, Fresno Cooperative Raisin Growers, and the Kerman Community Band.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Mary Bopp; sisters, Edna Winward, Mary Cole, and Edith Quinto; and brothers, Fred, Bill, Danny, Henry and Ted.
Al is survived by the love of his life Hazel, his son, Al Bopp Jr. of Kerman, CA; daughter, Kathy Knowles of Fresno, CA; grandson, Shannon Threatt; great-grandson, Alexander Threatt; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at 1:30 p.m.
