Alberto Rodriguez Sanchez Jr., a resident of Fresno, California, passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on May 31, 1947, in Pharr, Texas, Alberto led a life marked by dedication and service.
Alberto proudly served in the United States Army, contributing honorably to his country. Following his military service, he worked as a Certified Court Reporter interpreter, utilizing his skills to bridge communication gaps and uphold justice.
He is survived by his loving family, including his daughter D'Andra Buchanan (Ryan), and his son Adam Sanchez (Rebecca). Alberto is also remembered by his brothers Armando Sanchez, Alfred Sanchez, Abel Sanchez, and Arnold Sanchez, as well as his sisters Alicia Sanchez, Adalia Sanchez, and Anita Eidschun. He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse Graciela Sanchez, his brothers Arthur Sanchez and Adolfo Sanchez, and his sister Angelica Sanchez.
A visitation will be held at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel, located at 202 North Teilman, Fresno, CA 93706-1310, on February 2, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, followed by a wake starting at 6:00 pm. A graveside service will take place on February 3, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Clovis Cemetery District, 305 N Villa Ave, Clovis, CA 93612. A service and reception will follow at the College Church of Christ, 3130 N. Fresno Street, Fresno CA 93703 at 2:00 pm.
Alberto's legacy of service and commitment will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
