Aldo was born on August 24,1950 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to Anna Maria “Mary” Raimondo and Michael E. Pellicciotti. He was the third child of four.
In 1959, when Aldo was nine, his family moved to Southern California joining his Uncle Phillip Raimondo and family. They settled in Azusa, in Los Angeles County. He attended Azusa High School and Foothill Church in Glendora. He was a good student, Varsity baseball athlete and active in student government, while also working in the family business, Michael’s Italian Cuisine in Pasadena, CA. It was at AHS that he met his girlfriend and future wife, Bonni Beth Brands. He graduated from Azusa High in 1968.
A few years later the high school sweethearts tied the knot on June 20, 1971. They soon moved to Santa Barbara and attended UCSB where he graduated with a BA in Political Science. After a brief stint with Macy’s Executive Training Program in San Francisco, he and Bonni moved to Orange County where he entered the electrical industry as a sales representative, quickly being promoted to National Sales Manager at Essex Wire.
In 1978 Aldo and three of his high school friends started their own company, Agents West Inc. Aldo traveled up and down the California coast calling on customers, making deals and making friends along the way. He and Bonni welcomed their first child, Amy Marie in 1977. Son, Andrew Ross was born in 1981. Aldo enjoyed coaching Andrew’s baseball teams, attending many soccer tournaments, dance recitals and cheer competitions. He was an enthusiastic fan and a wonderful father.
With his children graduated from high school, he and Bonni moved to Nipomo where they built their dream home, a Tuscan style villa. For 13 years, while on the Central Coast, Aldo and Bonni were active members of Calvary SLO.
After 36 years on the road Aldo retired. Agents West is continuing to thrive after 47 years in business. He and Bonni then moved to Clovis, CA to be near their daughter Amy and her family. Aldo enjoyed spending time with his grandsons Jamison Charles and Maxwell Aldo McMurray.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, aunts, uncles, sister Lucy Bacon, brother Michael Pellicciotti Jr.,brother-in-law Todd Ausman and nephew Michael Scott Houston. Aldo is survived by Bonni Beth Pellicciotti, his wife of 54 years, children Amy McMurray and Andrew Pellicciotti, son-in-law Charles McMurray, grandsons Jamison McMurray and Maxwell McMurray, sister Terri Ann Ausman, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Aldo’s great passion was Jesus, followed by his love for his wife, family, friends and Italian heritage. He shared his faith often and led many to the Lord. He also enjoyed sharing his love of cooking Italian family recipes. His sense of humor, gregarious personality and pizza-making skills will be greatly missed. Our “Papa Pizza” will always be truly beloved.
