Mrs. Angelina Catanzarite

Angelina was born on November 2, 1920 in Fresno, CA in her parents' home that still stands on Dewitt Ave. just south of Shaw Ave. She was the youngest daughter of Gust A. and Rose Andriotti Spiropulos. She left us to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 22, 2015, at the age of 94.

Angie attended Clovis schools and graduated from Clovis Union High School in 1939. She was a fun loving person who enjoyed music, dancing, and a good joke. In fact, it was at the Rainbow Ballroom that she met her future husband and love of her life, Dominick Catanzarite. They were married on November 26, 1944 and enjoyed 62 years together until Dominick passed in 2006. Angie was a member of I.C.F. Branch 185 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Angie is survived by her two sons and their families, Gerry and Cheryl Catanzarite and their son, Dominick; and Fred and Joan Catanzarite and their sons, Jeremy and Darin. Angie is also survived her sisters-in-law, Betty Burns and Lee Spiropulos of Fresno; and her brothers-in-law, Tony Catanzarite of Fresno and Salvador Catanzarite of San Andreas; as well as many nieces; nephews; and her beloved great grandchildren, Alicia and Krista.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Thursday, March 5, 2015, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Paul Catholic Newman Center on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.

Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
