Bernard Borges

Barney graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1953 and was employed as a painter, for William B. Saleh, until he retired. At that point, he enjoyed traveling with his wife and other family members. He was also an avid bowler.

Barney was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, Knights of Columbus Council 8786, 4th Degree Assembly 0046 and the Guadalupe Society.

Barney was a loving husband and father and was respected by so many people for his kind heart and gentle nature.

Barney was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rose; his daughter, Rosie; and sisters, Toni and Larrie.

Barney is survived by his wife, Mary, of 54 years; their children, Annie Molina and husband Jose, Diane Nichols and husband Dave, Tricia Borges, and Jim Borges; four grandchildren, Chris, Antonio, Maria, and Sophia; his siblings, Frank Borges and wife Mary, Ted Borges and wife Connie and his sister, Gerry Martin.

Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Cath- olic Church on Monday, October 8, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
