Now that the initial shock and coming to terms that my mom has went home to Jesus, I can say what a beautiful, caring, awesome and best mother anyone could have been blessed with. I know at the funeral I was in complete utter shock and it didn't seem real. I felt like she was gonna come walking through those doors of the funeral home any time. So I apologize for the nonsense I was fumbling to say. I hope everyone understands what I was going through . I seemed distant and uncaring, but it took all that I am to hold it together and tellyself another scenario to make it through that day. My mom, Cathy, was a blessing to all. She cared for everyone and it wasn't an act, she was not phony, rude, and didn't put on show when around others. She had class that was effortless, she stood out in a crowd without trying. She worked hard keeping the house up,, taking care of my dad and me and brothers and her parents and sisters and nieces and nephews. Everyone seemed to forget all that she did. She would take me and my brothers to go visit my dads grandparents, and they didn't speak a word of English. But she did it, so we knew them. She would open her house up and take care of family like uncle Manuel, Grandma Beulah , and other family members. Heck, her and my dad were the only ones that didn't turn away some and disown like other family members. My Mother was the best and her and my dad made a beautiful life for themselves and family and everyone else that has reaped from their hard work and love.  They did it all on their own. And when hit with hard times, they still did it all on their own.  Never complaining. My mom did so much for all, loved deeply and I wish her and my dad had more time on earth to enjoy each other. No one on this earth, I believe was as caring, and beautiful and tough when needed and God fearing as my mom. I remember Grandma Mary saying, now when anyone has questions about Jesus or the Bible, they can ask mom, cause she's the new teacher , advisor.

Some of my favorite memories of my mom.... Summertime, out by the pool, we would layout to tan, and seeing who could tan fastest and darkest, always Mom would. Then it got to a point where her tan never faded. Unbelievable. But that's Mom, expect the unexpected. She never ceases to amaze everyone and herself. I will always miss the summer evenings when she would come in from doing yardwork all day and the house SPOTLESS and the smell of coffee in the artificial environment with a peaceful, calmness, and a bit of sunshine shining in through the front window and her sitting in her chair, all done up and beautiful waiting for my dad to get home, as if she hadn't even worked her ass off all day. She was amazing. There literally wasn't anything she could not do once she set her mind to it unless she just flat out didn't want too. I miss her more everyday and wish I would of spent more time understanding her rather than challenging everything she said, asked, shared. I miss you so much and I would give my life just to have her here one more day. I love you Mom.

Cathy silveira, RIP, thanks for being my second mom

I have a funny story about Cathy when we went to West Park Elementary school. The Music Teacher had auditions for the choir. Our entire class went into the cafeteria for auditions. Each of us sang. Our Teacher then called out all of the students names that made choir and they went to one side of the room. Cathy and I were the only two on the opposite side. We laughed about that story for years saying it would have saved time if they would have called the two losers name, CATHY AZLIN and Vicki Leonetti.🎼

Just wanted to share a memory of my mom while growing up or her raising me. So, I was about 3 or 4 yrs old, we were living on Fruit Ave, 40 acres, and in the middle of the corn field was a PG&E tower and early one morning I decided to take a walk into the corn field with my dog Toby. When We make it to the tower, I remember stepping on my dog's back to get up on the big cement Pilar block and just sit there. I got climbed down the same way, using Toby as a step kinda. While walking back to the house, I see my mom drive by in the car so I start running after her, but little did I know, she wasn't leaving me she was looking for me and scared and pissed all at the same time. She sees me, stops the car , gets out and starts scolding me saying where we're you, why didn't you answer me and starts to spank my behind. Well that just made me Angry, and I said to her ..you can't spank me, I didn't hear you, you can't get spank me for not hearing you and you know it took all I had that day not to cry and I didn't. So thank you mom for teaching me to be strong and stand up for myself even if it was standing up to you and forgive me at the same time. And yes I probably got one or two swats across the behind and that's all.  I know kind of a silly memory but I will always remember and thank God for the blessing of a wonderful mother

Well mom, it was dad's birthday today, he misses you so much, it's difficult to be around because there is nothing I could say or do to help him thru. I know how much I miss you and pray for strength and to lighten the hurt and sadness I feel. I love you Mom.

I have another kinda funny memory to share...my Grandpa Odie loved to read Westerns, so one day my mom decided to go and buy him some western movies to watch. Well unknowing to her what this movie, Broke back Mountain was about, she bought it for him. He watches it and when it was over, he goes into office where grandma Charlene was and asks her in a concerned baffled tone.."Charlene what the hell is wrong with Cathy? " "What would make her think I would like a movie like that". Anyway once grandma found out what it was about she laughed and told my mom and they laughed for days about that.

I have had a lot of could of should of would of iny life, I have lost the people that were the closest to me, Joe, Kelley, my grandparents, (my pets Rachel and puppy), I have even lost my own children in the womb, but losing my Mother has been hands down, the saddest and an emptiest left in my soul. Maybe because it was to soon for her to go. It saddens me when I look back and think if I would of just visited a bit longer, not popped off with one of my smart ass remarks, or just said I love you more often and I am sorry if I hurt your feelings when I said this or that. I really took for granted she would always be there for me when I needed her and she was. I could call or stop by at any time or day and she was there for me unless she was at the casino, hahaha, kidding but true. It hurts me how some treated her, all she wanted was the best for everyone but when people are doing what they know is wrong all they know is to become hateful and tell absurd stories about a person. I'm guilty of saying things that were terrible to her, but in the same breath apologize, once I realized what I said. But I know and the Good Lord knows how much I love and miss my Mom and would never hurt her and the words I have said I never meant when the words were ugly. I miss you Mom. Can't wait to see you again.❤️☀️ I just wonder if she has ran into John Lennon, Patsy Cline and Merle. Haggard yet? They are probably in line together waiting for the slow ass people in front of them.

Just wanted to clear up the wrong words used because this stupid phone thinks it knows more than me, ....it should read "well" not sell and "coffee" not offer. M I the only one google does this to?

Another amazing memory of my mother that showed she was authentic in her kindness and love for my dad.  My mom and brothers and I were in Clovis one day and she took a little detour, I had no idea where we were headed, she pulled up to this little quaint home and told me to go knock on the door, kinda nervous but trusted her. Well it was my dad's grandparents, who spoke not a word of English, but they recognized me as soon as they opened the door and invited us all in. We each had a 7up or sprite and tried to communicate as best we could.  To say the least they were happy she took the time to visit. We all got big hugs and the look on their faces was worth it. My mom always remembered the ones that couldn't drive anymore or unable to leave the house. She was always doing nice things like that. She was always buying little gifts for people that were perfect for that person. She took the time to know people. She was a great judge of character.

My mom, Cathy, had the biggest kindest heart. She was a natural caregiver cause she honestly cared about your sell being. It's like she felt your pain. I remember as a little girl having to sleep on the couch  because my Uncle Manuel came to stay with us for a little while , and he slept in my room and same when  Grandma Beulah stayed with us when she was sick. I remember her caring for her Mom, my grandma Charlene, she literally would stay at the hospital with her all day and night and when she came home. My mom cared for her and loved her parents dearly. My Grandma Charlene told me one time, Cathy, my mother was the only one who did what she was supposed to do, the right way. Grandma was proud of my mom for marrying for love, out of highschool and after becoming her own person first, instead of having to get married. My mom and grandma would call each other as soon as they got out of bed and talked while having coffee or one would show up at the others house for coffee throughout the day. Mom helped grandma and grandpa whenever needed or just because. She kept her home and their home spotless and yard. She helped in the office also and in the fields. All this while raising us kids and her nieces and nephews too. But my mom had the best support system who would do anything for her and genuinely loves her, my dad. Those two are amazing and conquered the world together and never once lost that spark that started it all. I'm missing you right now and will never stop missing you. I love you and thank God for the most wonderful beautiful who wasn't afraid of showing tough love when needed. I love you mom and I'm sure you are right here with me or on your way over here after having offer with dad. I Love you Mom

Happy Birthday Mom, I love you and miss you, believer not, I can't believe I am unable to call you or see you anymore until I die. I am pretty much lost right now. Regardless if we were disagreeing, you always wanted the best for me and stood by me. I remember when I was a kid before vo and val were born, it seemed like every morning you would surprise me with a new dress or doll. I remember my rabbit fur jacket and knee high leather boots, a black and brown pair, you bought me in when I started kindergarten. You had an eye for style and the hippest mom around. You are beautiful and I'm actually happy I have some of your traits.

Graduation day at West Park elementary school. We went through kindergarten to graduation from High School together.

You came to help me when we built our home on Muscat Avenue. When it comes to moving time, you know who your friends are. I had one.. Cathy.

Cathy, I love you. You were always there for Special moments in life. The world as I know it, will never be the same.

We are so very sorry for your family's loss and wishing you all peace at this difficult time.

Cathy was my very best  friend since we were 5 years old. The times and memories will forever live in my heart. Dance amongst the Stars Cathy to your “Beatles “ music.  I love you.
