grace with family by her side and in spirit.
Charlotte is survived by her loving family: daughter Cherie Garza, son Jeremy Huxley, sister Linda
Cowley, and Denise Johnson-Michael, as well as her four grandchildren, Logan and Jackson Garza,
Mattie and Abbie Huxley, and nine nieces and nephews. Charlotte was preceded in death by her mother,
Geneva Starbuck, her father, Roy Jack Starbuck, (biological father) Dennis Johnson, and her brother
Jeffery Starbuck.
Charlotte was born May 7, 1952, in Fresno, California. She spent her life in Fresno, making memories
with family and friends. She graduated from Fresno High School and later attended Beauty college with
an aspiration to become a licensed beautician. Her attention to detail and artistic ability was
demonstrated throughout. She juggled college and parenthood while becoming a devoted stay-at-home
mother after having her second child. Over the years, she enjoyed crafting and needlework, her favorite
being embroidery. She had a great sense of humor and loved music. Her main focus each and every day
was showing her love to her children and grandchildren. Throughout her life, she was always willing to
lend a hand in any way she could. She had a big heart and was a good friend to many people. Her
generous nature and affection for her family and friends will be remembered for generations. Charlotte,
you will be in our prayers, hearts, and memories for eternity.
