Christopher Jason Tristan

Chris was in the first class to graduate from Sunnyside High School in 2002. He was active with St. John's Youth Group, worked for Save Mart for five years and then went on to work for Macy's for three years.

After leaving Macy's he took time off to fight his courageous battle with brain cancer and spend time with his family.

With his beautiful smile, amazing personality and zest for life, he left a lasting impression in so many hearts. He was optimistic and wanted no one to feel sorry for him.

Chris is preceded in death by his grandmother, Nellie Tristan, grandfather Richard Reynoso, Sr. and uncle John Reynoso.

He is survived by his parents, Fidel and Susie Tristan; sister Jessica Salgado and her husband Daniel, along with nieces Selia and Alyssa and nephew Daniel Salgado; grandparents Alice and Reno Moreno; Fidel Sr. and Jackie Tristan, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends.

The Tristan family would like to thank the staff at C.R.M.C., St. Agnes and their Hospice Services and well as the California Cancer Center.

A special thanks to Dr. Alfonso Velasco for being there when we needed him and a special thanks to Dr. Verrees and Tami Dupras for their special attention with Chris.

Visitation will be held at the Lisle Funeral Home on Thurs. Nov. 3, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm., followed by a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. John's Cathedral on Friday, Nov. 4, 2011 at 10:30 am.

Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
