Corinne Ann Gustafson

Corinne was born June 22, 1926 at Sugar Pine, CA. Her father ran the service station at El Portal, CA and her parents, Martin Thomas Little and Retha Lucile Clotfelter Little, lived in Mariposa, CA. Corinne decided to come early so the doctor in Merced told her mother to go to the Sugar Pine Lumber Mill Hospital just outside of Yosemite as it was a fully equipped hospital. She had an older brother, Donal Thomas Little, and later a younger brother, Richard Martin Little.

She started school in Merced, CA and then her family moved to Fresno, CA where she attended Jackson School and graduated from Roosevelt High School and 4C’s College.

Her first job was as secretary to the Public Works Director for the City of Fresno.

Corinne married Carl Ernest Gustafson on May 4, 1957, at Fresno, CA. they had two children, Brett Thomas Gustafson and Melissa Ann Gustafson Bennett and four grandchildren, Cortney Lee Gustafson, Kyle Thomas Gustafson, Cara Amber Bennett and Christopher Michael Bennett.

After her children started school, she went to work for Morris M. Sherr, attorney at law, and after 27 years she retired and enjoyed being home.

Visitation will be at Lisle Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
