In Loving Memory of Damaso Zapata
Damaso Zapata passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of his wife and daughters.
He was born on August 16, 1956, in Rural, Texas, and later grew up in Fowler, California, where he met the love of his life, Rebecca. Their connection was strong from the beginning, and after nine years together, they were married, beginning a lifelong journey built on love, commitment, and family. Together, they shared nearly 40 years of marriage, just shy of celebrating that milestone this May. After marrying, they made their home in Fresno, California, where they built a beautiful life and raised their family.
Damaso was a hard-working man who spent most of his life as a furniture salesman. Known for his dedication, integrity, and charm, he was consistently a top salesman and touched the lives of countless people each day. He was also well known for his sense of humor and love of telling jokes, always ready to make those around him laugh and bring joy to any room.
Beyond his work, Damaso found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—barbecuing and cooking for his loved ones, and taking pride in his yard, which he cared for daily. Whether he was behind the grill or watering the lawn, he created a space where family could gather, feel welcomed, and be loved.
He dedicated his life to those he loved, always showing up with unwavering support, wisdom, and a generous heart. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and a deep sense of home to everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca; his daughters, Alexandra, Analisa, and Angelica; and his cherished grandchildren, Giovani, Damaso, Amelia, Arianna, and Noah, along with extended family and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
Damaso’s legacy lives on through the love he gave, the lessons he taught, the memories he created with those closest to him, the lives he touched through his work, and the laughter he shared with all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate his life and say their goodbyes.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
