Daniel Ybañez

Beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather he will be sorely missed. He was a man of intrepid fortitude, compassion, devotion, and grit who never knew a stranger.

Through sweat and soiled hands he carved from the land a blessed life for his family. He devoted several decades to Fresno State University as a groundskeeper and member of the Bulldogs chain gang. So devoted was Dan to the Fresno State football program, he was gifted a ring by Coach Sweeney in recognition of his devoted service.

Throughout his life he took great pride in the simple things and the honest labor of a mans hands. During a long and blessed retirement he enjoyed traveling with his grandchildren and beloved wife Pauline and relaxing at home in their backyard tending to his own private orchard of oranges, figs, walnuts and more.

He leaves behind his wife Pauline, his children, daughter Debra Trathen , and son Dan Ybanez, his grandchildren Marisa Jerkovich and her husband Mathew, Danielle Trathen and her fiancé Nick Bundy, and Marcos Aguilar. He is survived by three great-grandchildren, Jack Jerkovich, Nohl Bundy, Jacob Jerkovich, and Olivia Bundy.
