Dave was a vibrant, outgoing personality and could be counted on to be the life of any gathering. He was a gracious host and his culinary talents were almost legendary. Guests in the Giordano home could count on being greeted with a "taste this!" when they entered the home, before they could be seated.
As Dave's daughter, Nicole was growing up, all her many friends loved to come over to see Mr. "G". They knew they would be well and fabulously fed. This treatment was extended to all who came to the home. He was an expert at the stovetop, oven and grill and spoiled all who partook of his hospitality.
Dave spent much of his career as a successful paper and packaging salesman, supplying the agricultural industry with products. Although he enjoyed his work, his true passion was his family and his many friends who he treated as family. He greeted his buddies as "Brother!" usually several octaves above his normally robust manner of speech. Dave will be deeply and sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was predeceased by his Father, Daniel Giordano and his Mother, Rose Giordano.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Giordano; his daughter, Nicole Giordano Ashjian; his sisters, Josephine Gutilla and Carol DiLecce; his brother Dan Giordano, as well as numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and scores of friends.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home, on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.
