Debra Eileen Morris was born February 9, 1970, in Oakdale California. She moved to Fresno at the age of 6 with her beloved Mother Darlene Morris. Debra attended Heaton Elementary School, Tehipite Middle School, and Graduated from Fresno High School in 1988. She was always a Proud Warrior. Debra passed away on February 24, 2023.
Debra has joined many loved ones who preceded her in death, most notably her mother Darlene Morris, her dad Wyatt “Dutch” Morris, grandparents Forrest and Catherine Olson, and Uncle Jerry Buck.
Remaining here to mourn her death and cherish her memory are her Cousin/Sister Kristin and her husband Mark Sanders, Nephews Hayden and Brendan Sanders, and niece Gianna Sanders and fiancé Jessie Cruz, brother Darren Magill, sister-in-law Erika Magill and their children Kevin and Beth Magill and Samantha and Brandon Sabato, her Uncle Duane Olson and Cousin Carl Olson, Aunt Pattie Buck and children Rhonda and Bryce Dolin and their children Emily, Noah, and her cousin Jeffrey Buck.
Along with family she leaves a tribe of friends: Lisa Lynd, Danice Pierini, Elizabeth Martinez-Lisle, Shawna White, Annie Hickman, Bobbi Wilson Estrada, and many more.
Debra had many careers over the years including banking, Professional Print and Mail, catering, Busy Bee Baskets, and Bright Path Lighting.
She loved to throw a Party! Gathering with friends for special occasions or for no reason at all. Family weekends and holidays were spent together in Kingsburg. Debra’s cousins were more like siblings, dealing with life issues together with laughter and tears. She also loved family trips to Pismo beach and Black Friday family shopping.
Debra loved to cook and bake. She loved to share her treats with her neighbors, family, and friends.
Debra described herself as, “Fiercely loyal, supportive, telling the truth (even if it hurts), and having too big of a heart.” Everyone who knew her would agree.
All are welcome to share the Graveside service Monday, March 13th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Belmont Memorial Park. A lunch reception will follow at the Dante Club of Fresno.
