Donal Lacy Gregory

Donal was the son of Lacy H. Gregory and Erma Thurman. Donal’s mother passed away when he was 2 months old then Lacy married Anna who raised him as her own. Donal is preceded in death by his wife Ruth, mother Erma, step-mother Anna and father Lacy. He is survived by son Christopher, daughter-in-law Kimberly of Lynn, MA, grandchildren Ashley and Andrew, nephew Scott Johnson of Antioch, CA and niece Stacy Ruthrauff of Portland, OR.

Donal was a proud veteran of the US Army and was fond of telling stories of his many adventures while serving his country. He was a bartender at Sunnyside Country Club for many years and he also helped Ruth with her home cake decorating business.

Donal’s first love was his wife Ruth, but a close second were his Bulldogs and Golden Retrievers. Through out the years, he had many dogs but one thing was for certain, his dogs were his true passion in life and he spoiled them rotten.

As an avid Fresno State sports fan he loved watching the teams on TV and going to an occasional game. Donal had a wonderful family of friends and neighbors namely, Tom, Myra, Mary and Stephen. He treasured their love and friendship and was forever thankful that he was apart of their family.

Pop, we love you and you will be forever missed.
