Elizabeth was a strong, kind, and understanding woman who touched the lives of many. She grew up in Fresno with her brother Robert and her mother Patricia, a hard-working single mom who always ensured her family was well cared for. These traits followed Elizabeth throughout her life, leading her to work for and then retire from Fresno County as a deputy, having dedicated her career to serving her community with compassion and empathy.
Her passion for the arts led her to New York in pursuit of a Broadway career. However, her dedication to family brought her back to Fresno to care for her ailing mother. Elizabeth's love for opera and singing remained a constant joy in her life.
Elizabeth met her husband, Michael D. Rowan, during the early days of online dating, a testament to her adventurous spirit. Together, they shared a love for travel, embarking on numerous trips during their time together. Elizabeth cherished taking the kids on summer trips, creating lasting memories for her family.
Elizabeth's understanding nature and exceptional listening skills made her a respected figure in her community. Even as a toddler, her observant nature was evident, earning her the affectionate family story of being a "very laaaaazy baby."
Elizabeth was predeceased by her mother, Patricia Renno, her husband, Michael D. Rowan, and her brother, Robert Bedingfield. Elizabeth is survived by her stepdaughter, Elizabeth R. Rowan, and stepsons, Brian Rowan and Keith Rowan. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family extends their most sincere gratitude to everyone who has offered love and support during this difficult time.
