Elizabeth Verwey

She was a long time volunteer at Fresno Community Hospital and a founding member of Fresno Christian Reformed Church. She loved her family, her knitting, beautiful flowers and staying near the ocean.

She is preceded in death by her husband Willem Pieter Verwey and her grandson Jacob Verwey.

She is survived by her sons, Bastiaan "Boss" Verwey of Fresno, CA; Pieter "Pete" Verwey and his wife Sandra of Madera Ranchos, CA; John Verwey and his wife Cherry of Fresno CA; Ted Verwey and his wife Vicki of Fresno CA; two grandsons, Cody, and Joshua and his wife Kathleen; two granddaughters Emily and Andrea; and one great-grandson Liam. She was also blessed with many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 2 PM until 7 PM on Friday March 28 at the Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel.

The funeral services will be at the Fresno Christian Reformed Church on March 29 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens. Everyone is invited to join in a celebration of her life immediately following at the Church.
