Elodia passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2015, at the age of 89. She was born on May 6, 1925, in Ohio, and raised in Goshen, California. She was a graduate of Redwood High School in Visalia, California but a resident of Malaga, California for 68 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Genaro M. Perez Sr; son, Genaro M. Perez Jr; son-in-law, Jack Carline; sister, Margaret Ortiz; and brothers, Joe Delgado, and Guadalupe Gonzalez.
Elodia is survived by her son, Lawrence Perez; daughters, Josie Carline, and Vivian Uribe and her husband Stanley; sister, Patricia Knopke; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Thursday, January 8, 2015, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Malaga, California on Friday, January 9, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. followed by Interment at St. Peters Cemetery.
