Elsie, a homemaker, knew the importance of family. She was the beloved wife to Carl for 60 years; loving and nurturing mother and grandmother; caring friend to all. She will be missed by many.
Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Carl; and daughter Carol.
Elsie is survived by her son, Richard; brothers, Herman and Gearhart Horn; sister, Irene Adams; grandchildren, Greg and Mark Metzger, Robert Bitter and Mary Nelson; great grandchildren, Victoria and Emily Bitter and Justin Metzger.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Monday, March 5, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Graveside service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at 11:00 a.m.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
