To those who knew Eric’s sweet smile and infectious laugh, this is a loss indeed. Eric had a deep faith. He was recently baptized and if ever a man knew the Lord he did. Because of this, we say confidently, HE KNEW LIFE AND HE PASSED TO LIFE. He is with the Lord Jesus. Eric’s body experienced death. Eric did not. And one day, those who love him and believe in the Lord, will indeed see Eric FULL of life and joy!
Until then, we have our memories to hold to. Yours may be different than mine, but all are so special as we miss this truly great man and honesty decent soul. There was NO fake about Eric. He was as sincere and honest as they come.
When Eric went to work one day, his life would radically change for the better. He met the woman he would love for the rest of his life. If ever two souls were matched, theirs were.
Eric was a joyful soul. He was fun loving and gentle. Both laughter and tears came easily to him as he shared himself freely.
Eric was fiercely loyal. Next to his beloved wife Sheree and his mom Vicky, he loved his dogs. They were his family and a constant joy to him.
And he was loved in return. Only son to his mom and faithful husband who would do ANYTHING for them to make sure his family was happy and cared for, Eric was a gem.
Anyone who knows Eric knows this next tidbit. DO NOT MESS WITH HIS STEELERS. That is HIS team! And he has the proof at their home in the form of football memorabilia and various team items. When football season came around you know where Eric would be at game time. In front of the television, where it was an EVENT not just time watching TV. He did honor his wife’s choice of team, the Forty Niners, and would watch with her, but never did they replace his Steelers in his heart. If there are televisions in heaven you have to know game time, he will be watching. And for you football fans who follow a different team, next game, In honor of Eric lets root for them. GO STEELERS.
One thing Eric could do, is bring fun to any gathering. Whether it was holidays or spontaneous socializing with friends and family, Eric’s presence made it better. We will all miss that wonderful guy. That special soul. ERIC BIXLER. Eric, if you can hear us now, from your mom, your wife, your family and your friends, We love you!
