It's been 2 years now bro. Hard to believe. The days go by, but i still miss you daily...I love you....my Thanksgiving smoked turkey i made this year was good, but not nearly as  good without you  helping me.  I look up and wonder daily where your at and where your going in Gods beautiful universe. Say hi to Dad n Mom and all our family for me ok little Brother?

I am sitting here thinking of what memories to share but my heart just hurts. You left us too soon and too fast! Where to start...the fishing trips on the Family Tradition,  the trip to Virginia City  with Mom, Dad, and Bill ( Bucket of Blood Saloon...oh my gosh!), nerf war with the kids ( I'm still not sure who won 😉), and the 4th of July shows you put on..absolutely epic! You had the biggest heart and loved your family and friends fiercely! I will cherish these memories but honestly I think I will miss our late night talks listening to music in the garage. (Who sang this song? 😂 I was so happy I finally stumped you and Bill, that took some serious effort!) I will keep my promise to you! I  love you brother! Until me meet again...

I met Eric in 6th grade at Oakhurst Elementary. We were both pretty good at math. We stayed friends past graduation and we got to reconnect a few times after my 4 years in the Navy. 
We lived less then a mile from each other our senior year. I remember riding my dirt bike to his house, usually on a Friday or Saturday evening hoping he would give me a ride to one of those famous bonfires in the 80’s up Beasore road(above Bass Lake). 
I also remember Eric taking me to the caves on the north side of the San Joaquin River off Hwy 41.  We were in there so long I was convinced there was no way out. I thought we had tried every possible exit and we were stuck, pretty scary after about an hour, but I’m convinced he was toying with me, not that I ever panicked, but those are some deep caves with small holes from chamber to chamber. We had a lot of good times, and I appreciate how he was always a good friend. We grew up in an awesome area with maybe a little too much freedom, lol. I remember he said in High School, this is the best times of our lives, I’m glad we got to spend some of that time as friends. I can’t think of a single time we didn’t get along, I haven’t seen him on Facebook for years and I’ve been living in Arkansas since the 90’s. We had a lot of great memories, so lucky to share so many great times with Eric and friends growing up in the mountains!

Bill,  we are so sad to hear about Eric's passing.   I only have a few but all are very fond memories of your brother at various family gatherings from years ago.    He was always very pleasant, funny and kind.   I remember how he enjoyed the company of my Grandma and they would sit and crack up at the happenings.    Such a sweet man, a dedicated Federal Employee, and all around sweet, funny guy.    We are sending our deepest condolences and prayers for you and your family.   Love, Marla and Beth Stone

Eric was one of the sweetest men I’ve known.   I went to Oakhurst Elementary with Eric before I met my future husband Bill Ferreira.   Eric and I were great friends .He always helped me buy lunches in high school when I couldn’t afford it.    He looked out for me when his brother went into the Navy.   We shared so many memories and laughs and cries.   I love you Eric.He will be in my heart forever.   See you in Heaven Eric!!!!   Love you Billy.   You will see Eric again in glory!!!!

Was sad to see this post in the IRS retirees page. I met Eric at work, we would talked when I would see him on break. He was a super nice guy. My condolences to all who knew him. 

Uncle Eric,

    Gosh it’s a matter of where to start?? Im thankful for the time I was given, was blessed to have you for 30 full years as my Uncle, and every time we spent time together I can honestly say it was always the most colorful, and hilarious times I’ve ever had, Memories of sitting around with family having long talks on summer nights, sippin on sweet tea, with the misters going, listening to the bug zapper, and you always retold the story of Grandpa Jerry dreaming and talking in his sleep as you’d walk by his room, him giggling like a little kid!!!! “ DON’T KICK MY KITE”. O and the story of you as a baby in your crib scooting your whole crib up to the door to play with the light switch, you’d flick it on and off fast and grandma could hear and see you scooting and then playing with the switch!!! Lol “ NO NO baby time to go to sleep” grandma would say and then as she left…you’d be back at it!!! Or the famous scalding beans up the Nose! Lol It never got old! I’d die of laughter every time! Thank you for always putting “The Great Mouse Detective” on for Tabi and I as kids! Goshhhh I love you Uncle! And you are absolutely missed! And always will be missed! And will never ever be forgotten. You will always have a special place in my heart!

Words can not express the emptiness I feel today.  Our journey started  over 10 years ago when you needed a Lead and I needed a new unit to call home. You taught me so much and allowed me to grow and over time a genuine friendship  formed.  So many memories flood my mind  all precious and unique that will now have to last me my lifetime for you were called home. 
 From your generosity, kindness and sense of humor you made the work days for all of us just a little bit easier.   I miss you my friend as I never thought I would have to for all I ever wished for you was a Long Happy Ever After.  I know you are now free of the limitations placed on you here and that you are embracing all the wonders before you.  
To your Family my heartfelt condolences for their loss, to you Thank You for being my friend through the Sunshine and the Storms.

My heart is so heavy thinking of a world without you, my sweet cousin. From the days of Popeye and naptime at Grandma Hazel's, you made playing Checkers fun and showed me how to line up little Army men on the coffee table and bomb the Lincoln Log cabin (actually, together we pretty much took over the whole house, LOL). We scuffed our knees on the driveway playing cops and robbers til we dropped, but all through the years, from holiday gatherings, hot summer days at Grandma's waiting for the ice cream truck, to growing up together in Mudge Ranch, you have always been kind. Your smile and laugh were contagious. You are sure going to be missed, but you will also always be loved and appreciated.  Give everyone up there a great big hug - until we meet again.

I'm Erik with a K. Eric is with a C. He was my best man and my best friend. We had many good times alongside family and friends, here in Clovis, Fresno, and of course Las Vegas. Eric will always be part of our family and will be dearly missed. 

We all loved Eric.

Rest in Peace brother. Hopefully we can get a cocktail next time we're at the roulette table.  

Met Eric many years ago at a Warehouse Records with his brother Billy. Such a a sweet man! Last fond memory was Eric taking my son to purchase a fishing license for a fishing trip with Eric and Billy 💞🙏

I have a very fond memory that popped into my head today, Uncle. You, dad and I were cruising around in the ‘65 mustang heading back to grandma and grandpa’s place probably 20 years back or so. You and dad blaring that song “Livin’ on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi, first time I ever heard it! I thought to myself “it doesn’t get any better than this!” Wind whipping through my hair and it was the best song ever! You and dad were making the guitar and synthesizer noises, it was an awesome time! You loved cutting up with dad and razzing grandma Shelia. I love you Unc!

Eric was such a great guy and friend. He will be missed dearly.  Loves and Cheers brother! Rest in peace. 

I miss you bro... my heart  has a big empty hole in it as I cry writing this.  We had fun the last couple years, and were able to get caught up after taking  care of Mom opposite shifts. For years, we enjoyed Christmas  family gatherings together, Dad burning up the prime rib that one year, he he. But wasn't it the best he ever made?  I hope your here now with me reading this, because I wanted you to know I tried my best bro to get you home with me, but  you  and I agreed it would be hard for me and the best care would be with the Hinds Hospice care . God bless them for they're help .
Hey little brother... we got caught up. I just thought I'd have you so much longer. I guess it was time to go with God now, and be with all of the family up there and reside  in the house of the lord forever now, Amen
