Mrs. Etta Mae Wells

Loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend, Etta Mae Wells made her way home to heaven on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 90 years of age. A long-time resident of Fresno, CA, Etta Mae spent her adult life raising her nine children, caring for others and serving the Lord. Etta Mae was preceded in death by her parents, William Leroy and Nolia White; husband, Solomon Wells; children Robert J. Meigs and Patricia Wells Payne; three sisters, Ollie Burnley, Dolores White, and Marva Stephens; and three brothers, Nathaniel, Roy, and O.C. White.Etta Mae leaves behind to cherish her memory her children and their spouses, Kathryn Wells Jackson, Solomon Wells, CSM Roy Wells, John Wells, M.D., SGM James Wells, Paul Wells and Elizabeth Wells Aguilar; brothers, Oswald, Charles and David White; sister, Nolia Slade. She bid a loving farewell to her 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 10:30am. Interment will immediately follow at Belmont Memorial Park.
