He is survived by his wife Generosa Buenaventura and his children: Arsenio Buenaventura, Lourdes Alonzo, Arlen Beniga, Sally Buenaventura, Ramon Buenaventura; and his grandchildren, Jamie Beniga and Rufino Beniga.
He retired from the United States Navy as a First Class Petty Officer with Meritorious Unit Commendation, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Two Bronze Stars, National Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.
Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Friday, May 31, 2013 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, 4636 W. Dakota Ave., Fresno Ca. 93722 on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 8:00 am.
Burial with United States Navy Military Honors will follow at St. Peters Catholic Cemetery 264 N. Blythe Ave., Fresno 93706.
