Flora Lones

After graduating from Kingsburg High, Flora attended secretarial school. In 1944, she married Kenneth Hansen, had two children and began a long career as a legal secretary.

In 1976, Flora married Chalmers E. Lones, a Fresno attorney. Together, they ran a thriving law practice and made many trips to Europe, China, Russia, and Hawaii.

Widowed in 1995, Flora continued to live in Fresno, enjoying family, reading and her Siamese cats. She attended Wesley Methodist Church.

Flora's later life was blessed by the wonderful care given her by Susan Nan, Dawna Kale, Dr. Linda Bartell and Dr. Victoria Walton.

Flora was preceded in death by her son, Richard Hansen.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan; son-in-law, John; and grandson, Sam Sullivan, all of San Francisco, CA.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 11:00 am.

Remembrances may be made in her name to either Hinds Hospice of Fresno, or to the Central Valley SPCA.
