Flo was born in Fowler in 1929, the youngest of four children of Harry and Rose Tozlian. She graduated from Fresno Tech High School. Her professional life took her from Fresno working for CalTrans, to Los Angeles working for Kaiser Hospital and UCLA Medical Center, to Honolulu working for Kaiser Hospital, and back to Fresno working for California Highway Patrol. In 1979, she married Jake Tatoian, and they shared 36 years together. She enjoyed travel, and doted shamelessly on her many nieces and nephews. More than anything, Flo will be remembered for her care free manner, her fondness for Hawaii and all things Hawaiian, her passion for gambling, and her love of dancing.
Flo was preceded in death by her sister, Pearl Minenna; her brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Judy Tozlian; her brother-in-law, Edward Schmall; her niece, Pamela Schmall Molina; Pamela's daughter Alison; her nephew-in-law, Donald Totoian; her brothers-in-law, Albert Tatorian, and John Tatoian; and her beloved cat Coco.
Flo is survived by her husband, Jake Tatoian; her sister, Katherine Schmall; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Gladys Totoian; her sister-in-law, Sue Tatorian; and her nieces and nephews including Linda Tozlian, Roger Tozlian and his wife Janice, Harry Tozlian and his wife Diane, Diana Ireland and her husband Chuck, Deborah Schmall and her spouse Peggy Garner, George Hovsepian, Georgina Snyder and her husband Thomas, Sandy Horg and her husband Ronald, and Marlene Safrazian.
