Mrs. Frances Margaret Joseph

Frances Margaret Marovich Joseph, affectionately known as "Grandma, Anma, and Nana" peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, in Fresno, CA at the age of 87. Fran was born in Fresno, CA on August 16, 1927, to Matt and Mary (Piplick) Marovich. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in Watsonville, CA before becoming a Homemaker in Fresno. Fran was a member and past president of the Saint Agnes Service Guild and participated in the many events at Saint Therese and Saint Anthony schools. Her zeal for life came from her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and "a cold can of coke classic." The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care she received at the Nazareth House, 2121 N. First Street, Fresno, CA 93703. Fran was preceded in death by the "love of her life," Virgil Joseph. She is survived by her four children, Gary Joseph and his wife Lynn, Patt Munro and her husband Jim, Shauna Miller and her husband Dan and Tara Rowland and her husband Chuck; her sister, Lucille Guyette; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Nazareth House on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Thursday, September 18, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery.
