Frances Williams

Frances Luckett Williams went to be with her Father in Heaven on June 22, 2013, she was 94. She passed away peacefully at Nancy Hinds Hospice. "Fran" was born Adah Frances Luckett on February 1, 1919 in Hardin Montana to William & Grace Luckett. She was the 5th of 7 children.

Fran made Fresno California her home in 1942 where she married Shelton Austin Williams and adopted her son James Derrol. Fran worked as a legal secretary and foster parent before opening her own business, Kandy Kane Day Nursery School in 1966. In 1976, she was blessed with the birth of her granddaughter Renee Jenelle Williams. Fran was widowed in 1983 and would then devote herself to helping others and continuing to teaching the gospel as a Sunday school teacher and Awana Leader. Fran volunteered at the Fresno Rescue Mission and later worked at the Family Shelter.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents WB and Grace Luckett, and her 6 siblings, Mabel, Kay, Ruth, Lee, Wilma and Lysle.

Frances is survived by her son James of Sanger, granddaughter Renee of Fresno, and great grandchildren Grace and Aidan of Fresno.

Fran was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside services will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens on July 1st at 10:00 am with a Memorial service to follow at The Bridge Evangelical Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Fresno Rescue Mission, Nancy Hinds Hospice, or the Bridge Evangelical Church.
