Frank was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and steadfast friend to many. He lived a life full of love, dedication, and integrity.
Born on August 6, 1947, in Denver, Colorado, Frank was the son of Frank and Florence Gardanier. He earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona. After graduating, he served with honor in the United States Air Force as a pilot, flying the Northrop F-5. Following his military career, he worked for several manufacturing companies, where he developed and maintained advanced equipment.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Gardanier, and their children: James, Kristina, Andrew, and Alison — each of whom carries his wisdom, kindness, and humor in their hearts. He was a devoted grandfather to Payton, Grace, Jacob, Madeline, Tyler, Joshua, Gwyneth, Hudson, Liam, Cooper, and Harper, and he found great joy in watching them grow.
He is also survived by his siblings, Sutter, Ann, and Paul, and is now reunited in peace with his brother, Larry, who passed away last year.
Frank was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a valued presence in his community. He will be remembered for his generosity, strength, and unwavering support for those he loved.
A service to honor and celebrate Frank’s life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1149 E Alluvial Ave, Fresno, CA 93720.
Frank’s love and influence will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he is gone, his spirit remains with us always.
