

Frank E. Miller Jr. of Fresno went home to be with the Lord, Friday, October 1, 2010, at the age of 86. He was born on July 30, 1924 in Tranquillity, Ca. to Frank and Rose Miller. Frank was a graduate of Tranquillity High School Class of 1942.
Frank served in the U.S Army and was stationed in the Philippines during WWII. On his return, Frank married Arlene Setty in 1946. In 1947 Frank and his brother-in-law Robert Wilson formed Miller and Wilson's Market. After some 30 years in the grocery business he retired and they moved to Fresno where they have lived for 30 plus years.
Frank loved gardening and he shared that love with his neighbors and friends through the years.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth; and sister, Pauline Wilson; and granddaughter, Stacy Miller Cerda.
Frank is survived by Arlene, his wife of 64 years; his daughter, Terry Cowger and her husband Larry of Madera Ranchos; son, Darrell and his wife Diane of Tranquillity; daughter, Nancy Alves and her husband Frank of Sanger; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; and brother, Keith Miller of Scotts Valley.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Thursday, October 7, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A Memorial Service will be held at Woodward Park Church of Christ on Friday, October 8, 2010, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Yosemite Bible Camp, 50869 Rd. 632, Oakhurst, Ca. 93644; or Mt. View Christian School, 1284 E. Bullard, Fresno.
