Fred Warren Dawson Jr.

Fred was born on March 20, 1937 in Macomb, Illinois to Fred and Mary "Dorothy" Dawson. He worked as an account and business manager for over 30 years. Fred was a veteran of the Air Force serving in the Korean War. He has many hobbies including coin and stamp collecting, genealogy and being a member of the Fresno Lions Club. Fred passed away surrounded by his family at home on February 24, 2022.

Fred is survived by his wife Patricia Dawson, his daughters; Deborah Phillips, Laurie Dawson-Bloomfield and her husband Scott, and Christina Dawson and her husband Robert, his brothers; Donald Dawson, Gerald Dawson and his wife Janet, and Jan Dawson. He also leaves behind his grandchildren; Benjamin, Stephanie, Ariel, Bryce and Kristofer and great-grandson Layne.

Fred was preceded in death by his sister; Dorothy "Jean" Dunleavy, brother; Joseph Dawson, grand-daughter; Victoria Gaudreau and his son-in-law Murry Phillips.

A visitation for Fred will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Calaveras Chapel, 1605 "L" Street, Fresno, CA 93721. A graveside service will occur Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 10:30 am at Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 South Cornelia Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
