Fred served in the United States Marine Reserves and United States Navy. He retired from the California Highway Patrol after a 28 year career. In addition to his military service and years with the CHP, he was also a longtime member of the Fresno Elks Lodge.
He was preceded in death by Pamala Rylee, his beloved wife of 30 years; as well as his parents, Robert and Vida Rylee; and his sister, Roberta Engles.
He is Survived by his children, Alison Rylee, Robert Rylee, and James Rylee; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Graveside Service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens on Friday, July 5, 2013, at 10:00 a.m.
