
Gail Evelyn Peters was born on October 17, 1938, to Gladys and Neverette Hendrick. She passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on March 21, 2011. Gail lived in the central valley most of her life having moved from Oklahoma to California during the great depression. She attended Caruthers High School. In 1961, Gail met the love of her life, Lawrence Peters and they were married in October 1962. Together they had one son, but were also the parents to five young daughters from previous marriages. Gail co-owned Fresno Ag Labor Service and ran the office for over 30 years. She loved to travel and she and her husband traveled and cruised all over the world. During her travels, Gail made many life long friends. After her retirement she enjoyed working with her son Larry in his estate liquidation business. Gail loved antiques and she was a collector of all things beautiful. She is preceded in death by her first born grandchild, Christopher Daniel Perez. She is survived by Lawrence Peters, her husband of 48 years; her son and daughter in law, Larry and Donna Peters of Sanger, Ca; her daughters, Donna Zenz of Clovis Ca. and Kimberly Swingle and her husband Jim of Fresno Ca; her step-daughters and their husbands, Laura and Tim Bradbrook, Lacey and Gerry Margosian and Leisha and Jeff Berry all of Fresno, Ca. Besides her natural and step-children, Gail was the loving Godmother of Evangelos Psarraki of Athens, Greece. She dearly loved and considered Katherina Sadri and her husband Reza as her own daughter and son-in-law. Gail loved each of her 23 grand children, they are, Alex Harrell, Trish and Zach Bradbrook, Shannon Standifer and her husband Lou, Brittany and Bob Zenz, Colby and Macy Margosian, Jill Hassaj and her husband Kevin, Kelly, Tyler and Shelby Swingle, Adam Berry and his wife Ashley, Keith Berry and his wife Carly, Katelyn, Anthony and Matthew Peters, Nadia and Artimis Sadri. She was overjoyed to have five great-grandchildren in her life. They are, Drew and Jade Harrell, Jackson Standifer, Sophie Hassaj and Jonah Berry. Gail is also survived by two brothers, Don Hendrick of Mo. and John Jones and his wife Mary of Madera, Ca; and three sisters, Terry Bauer of Visalia Ca, and Nadine Seig and Evelyn Zingery of Wy. Besides her family members, she was very close to her dear friend and housekeeper of 32 years, Maria Aguayo. She has a large extended family of friends in Greece and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all over the world. Gail was a very loving, kind and compassionate woman. She was warm and welcoming to everyone she met and was extremely generous and filled with love. She was loved by all who knew her and she will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held at the Lisle Funeral Home on Monday, March 28, 2011, 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at the Lisle Calaveras Chapel on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Sanger Cemetery.
