Gary was predeceased by his loving parents, Lois and Glenn Hickok. He is survived by his uncle, Dennis Gardner; his brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Kim Hickok; and his cherished nieces, Suesie Hornor, Katie Walters, and Madie Starvel. He also leaves behind six grand-nieces and nephews: Loghan and Isabelle Hornor, Penny, Wesley, and June Walters; and Maxx Starvel.
Although four of his great-nieces and nephews lived far away, Gary never missed a birthday, holiday, or special milestone. Remembering each occasion was his way of staying close at heart,
and it meant so much to those he loved.
Gary’s faith was an important part of his life. He attended People’s Church and the Journey Sunday School class with his friend Linda Gothard, where he found community and a deep love for Jesus.
He also shared a special bond with his brother, Ron. They bowled together every week, and Gary’s easygoing spirit made him a joy to be around in the league.
Gary was a gentle, thoughtful man whose kindness touched everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he graced.
