Genaro “Gene” Roman peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones on July 10, 2021 at the age of 77. He was born on April 6, 1944, in Fresno, CA to Pedro and Enriquetta Roman and was the fourth of five brothers.
An alumni of Fresno High School, Gene joined the U.S. Air Force where he served as a medic before attending Fresno State University. He worked as a computer mainframe salesman.
Gene lived in San Francisco for many years before moving to Fremont, CA where he met his dedicated wife, Henrietta Santana. Gene and Henri shared 28 wonderful years together along with her son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters. They were doting parents to their beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Trump, who misses him dearly.
Gene was a patriot and loved the good life including fine food and drinks, fast cars, music and art. He was always smiling and ready to tell a joke or story no matter where he was or who he was with. He was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, and Golden State Warriors and enjoyed watching the games with Trump by his side.
More than anything, Gene was a loving family man. He loved to get together with his family to celebrate milestone occasions or just to enjoy a heartfelt talk. Family birthdays often started with an early morning serenade of “Las Mananitas” sung by Gene. He was so proud of all of his family and their accomplishments and would brag about them to anyone who would listen. He will surely be watching over them from Heaven above.
Gene is reunited with his parents, Pedro and Enriquetta Roman, his brother Manuel, and his sisters-in-law Frances, Rhonda, and Anita.
He is survived by his loving family:
