Gennis Harold Fraley

Gennis Harold Fraley went home to be with his Lord on September 14, 2012 at the age of 82. He was born on December 4, 1929 in Eufaula, OK to James Thomas and Bertha Ellen Fraley. Gennis was a graduate of Lemoore High class of 1949. He was drafted into the Army in March of 1951 during the Korean conflict where he earned the rank of Master Sargent and was honorably discharged in 1952.

Gennis married Patsy Hannon of Lemoore in 1952 and they had three children. He attended College of the Sequoias and graduated from Fresno State in 1958. He began teaching elementary classes in Clovis, served as a counselor for nine years in the Madera school district then taught at Lemoore Elementary. He retired in 1985 and was widowed in 1994.

Gennis is survived by his wife of 17 years, Louise; his three children and their spouses, Glenn Fraley and his wife Becky, Susan Mumm and her husband Jerry and John and his wife Kathy; two step-children, Penny Williams and her husband Chris and Laura Hayes; 21 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; his sister Ellen Brannon and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at College Church of Christ 1284 E. Bullard, Fresno on Saturday September 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held at Lemoore Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012.
