George Bernard Ayerza, Sr.

George graduated from Tranquillity High School and attended Fresno City College. In 1962, George married his high school sweet heart Carol Lombardini and they had three sons. George coached little league baseball and Pop Warner for many years. He was also a San Joaquin Elementary School board member, James Irrigation District board member, Lions Club member and the past president of the Fresno Basque Club.

In 1965 George started a small farm in Tranquillity, CA. Over the years he expanded his farming operation to include almonds, cotton, alfalfa seed, onions, and other crops. He continued to farm until his death along with his oldest son and grandson. Besides his family, farming was his passion.

George is preceded in death by his mother and father.

He is survived by his wife Carol, his son George Jr., and his wife Kathy and their children Justin and Juliana; his son Patrick and his daughter Jennifer, and his son Todd and his wife Erica. He also his survived by his brother Tony and his wife Joann and their children, his brother John and wife Suzanne and their children. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews and life long friends.

Visitation will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kerman, CA on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.
