Mrs. Georgia L. Schroeder

Georgia was born September 16th, 1930, in Pasadena, CA. She attended Pasadena College earning a BA in Education. While in college she met and married her husband of 59 years, Paul "Bud" Schroeder. They made their home in southern California. She taught elementary school for 20 years where she was well-loved and respected by her students. Bud and Georgia were blessed with their daughter, Gayle. Georgia was active in her church and volunteered at school functions.

Georgia's greatest joy was sharing in the lives of her two granddaughters. A move to Fresno after retirement enabled her to be a big part of their lives. Her interests included gardening and quilting. Both Bud and Georgia took pleasure in visiting with their neighbors and taking many fun road trips to visit family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Bud, daughter Gayle Janzen and son-in-law, Bruce, all of Fresno; Brother Ron Macrory and wife, Jan, of Pasadena; Granddaughters, Noelle and Chelsea.

A celebration of her life will be held at New Covenant Community Church, Monday, November 1st, 2010, at 11:00a.m.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial gifts may be made in Georgia's name to New Covenant Community Church, 1744 E. Nees, Fresno, CA 93720.
