Mrs. Geraldine B. Morton

Geraldine peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2011. She was the sixth child of seven born to John and Myrtle Basden. Geraldine was born on August 2, 1929, in Quinton, Haskell County, Oklahoma.

It was while sitting on the counter in her future sister-in-law's little grocery store in Delhi, California that she met her future husband Wade Morton. She invited him to her high school graduation at Livingston High School. Geraldine and Wade were married for 64 years and had three children. Their oldest son, Rodney was born in Borger, Texas on August 18, 1950, and went to be with the Lord on October 15, 1995. A daughter Bonita and son Kevin were born to the family after they had moved to California.

Geraldine worked several years at the Post Office in Tranquillity, California and had fond memories of the people in the community.

Geraldine was a wonderful homemaker and loved to cook. She enjoyed a good joke. She had beauty and grace of spirit and is now filled with joy and healing in the presence of Jesus Christ her Savior and friend.

Geraldine is survived by her husband, Wade Morton; daughter, Bonita Fernandez; son, Kevin Morton; grandchildren, Melissa, Ne- ville, Jessica, Zachary, Andrew and Bethany and their spouses. She has two great-grandchildren, Kyleigh and Brian.
