Grace Eleanor Hensleit was born in Fresno, California on September 15, 1919 and passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015. She was the new accounts manager for E.F. Hutton for over twenty years and upon her retirement, became a longtime dedicated community volunteer. She especially loved to volunteer for the American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days, Relay for Life and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Grace was recognized with the Presidential Volunteer Service Award by President George Bush for her countless hours of service.
Grace was an inspiration and example of perseverance and community spirit with a quiet faith in the Lord. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Bea Hensleit; daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Marty Minasian; granddaughter Allison Hensleit, grandson and his wife, Dan and Amber Hensleit and great grandchildren, Maddox and Myles Hensleit who were the joy of Grace’s life.
A private service was held and a Celebration of Life luncheon is planned. Donations may be made in Graces’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 2222 W. Shaw Ave., Fresno, CA 93711.
